About The Christine Center

The Christine Center offers an exquisite hilltop facility overlooking a meadow of wildflowers, a still pond, and a tranquil forest setting of 120 secluded acres. Nestled in the quiet woods, you'll be reminded to slow down, to know the limitless opportunities of life, to simply be. Here you can leave behind your usual routines, refresh your senses and allow the luxury of silence to renew your body, mind, heart and spirit.

Since 1980, people from all spiritual paths and walks of life have come here with a desire to move inward to a place of quiet reflection and outward to a place of timeless connection in search of their deeper spiritual identities.

Whether you come for simple respite or for deep work, you'll find a supportive, nurturing environment. Hiking trails and seasonal sports offer you the opportunity to drink deeply of the fresh air, the star lit skies, and the gentle presence of deer, birds and other wildlife. You may choose our naturally delicious meals and group activities or stay in seclusion, cooking for yourself and following your own rhythm.

We invite organizations, individuals, groups, teachers, and students to share the energy of this sacred space. Individual retreats, group retreats, seminars, sabbatical opportunities, and a spiritual lifestyle program are some of the options. We are also available for day meetings or overnights by hospital, church, educational and management groups.

Communities
Adjacent to The Christine Center are two communities of privately owned lands and dwellings. One is Metta Trust Community (Metta means loving kindness) and the other is GAIA Community (GAIA means Mother Earth). Metta Trust to the East consists of 13 five-acre plots purchased by individuals or families who either live here or come for occasional retreats. GAIA Community to the North consists of ten plots of land where owners enjoy the natural beauty of the woods and animals.
