Stillness Calls Us to Build for the FutureWe at the Christine Center are aware of the sacred allure that draws retreatants here to deepen their spirituality. In response to the desire of more and more peopple to further experience the spiritual realm in a space that balances solitude and community, the Christine Center initiated a Capital Campaign in 2007, to raise a million dollars. Today we stand gifted and graced as we share with you all that has happened because of the loving and generous help that we have received from you, our donors and supporters.
The Capital Campaign is looking for $10,000.
The Capital Campaign, now in its final year, is counting on your generosity once again to complete the payments on the loan for the new wing and to continue the renovation projects. We still need $10,000 to reach our million dollar goal. What a possibility!
We stand at this moment in our history ready to trust and dare again, moving ahead one more step toward completion of the Capital Campaign. We have come this far because of your generosity.
Together we have seen dreams realized. We witness the unfolding of the Christine Center as a vortex of love and healing for people of diverse spiritual paths. In so many ways you have created a Christine Center for the 21st century by your ongoing support.
Just to give you a brief recap of what we have been able to do because of your donations: repairs/renovations to hermitages and Shekinah; donation of a new hermitage, Guadalupe; completion of Siloe; and completion of the Chapel wing. We were able to complete the Chapel wing which has cost $535,000 because we took out a loan of $100,000.
As we near the completion of the Capital Campaign, we invite you to stay the course with us. The requests for spiritual direction, programs, and individual and group retreats are increasing day by day. This is a wonderful position to be in, because we feel the expansion is in response to the needs of our times for spiritual deepening and global transformation.
