Stillness Calls Us to Build for the Future

We at the Christine Center are aware of the sacred allure that draws retreatants here to explore their own holistic spirituality. As more people seek to further explore the spiritual realm in a space that balances solitude and community, the Christine Center is experiencing significant growth in programs and participants, and the current facility is stretched to its capacity.

Christine Center
It is our wish that people of all paths continue to find a spiritual home at the Christine Center for many decades to come, and that they find the facilities adequate for their needs.

We continue to make significant financial investments in order to provide quality facilities to the people who seek our services. Thus, the Capital Campaign is an opportunity for you to participate in our vision and to invest in our mission.

We trust that you will help us with this new phase of growth and development by your continued participation in our programs and through your financial support.

We now share with you the progress that we are making with the phases of the Capital Campaign.

The Capital Campaign is looking for $225,000.
With the installation of the Chapel windows, our desire to finish the new wing has escalated. We stand at this moment in our history ready to trust and dare again, moving ahead one more step toward completion. We have come this far because of your generosity. With Christmas season donations, we have reached 70 percent -- $700,000 -- of our Capital Campaign goal of one million dollars.

Just to give you a brief recap of what we have been able to do because of your donations: repairs/renovations to hermitages and Shekinah -- $52,701; donation of a new hermitage, Guadalupe -- $56,000; completion of Siloe -- $204,242; phases one and two of the Chapel wing (includes Chapel windows) -- $308,101; campaign expenses for fundraising -- $29,418.

Since January 2007 when the Capital Campaign began, our total expenses have been $650,418. We only need $225,000 to finish the Chapel wing. We are up for the challenge, and we invite you to stay the course with us. The requests for spiritual direction, programs and private retreats are increasing day by day. This is a wonderful position to be in, because we feel the expansion is in response to the needs of our times for spiritual deepening and global transformation.

There are many ways to support our mission and to finish the campaign. Our online auction (www.biddingforgood.com/christinecenter) offers an array of beautiful items from which to choose. You can still have your name assigned to one of our magnificent Chapel windows, meeting rooms or to the library. We have "seats for the soul" (Chapel chairs) and commemorative bricks. You can still be part of this project by a donation of any size. Thank you from the depths of our hearts!

The Christine Center staff considers it an honor and privilege to serve our guests. We are inspired by all who come in search of the Divine. The Center experience is created not only by the staff, but also by our guests. There is so much for which we are grateful to you: your loving presence at the Center, your search for spiritual deepening, your shared gifts, and your financial contributions. Together we help create the Christine Center experience.

We invite your prayerful support of the Christine Center and its mission. We pray for our donors daily, and open our hearts to you in gratitude for all you are and do.

Many of you have asked how you can help:

Silent Auction
The Capital Campaign committee will sponsor an auction to raise an additional $25,000 for the building of the Chapel Wing — with the new library and meeting rooms — so critical to our ability to meet the needs of our guests. The items for the auction will be open for bidding at the Christine Center from December 27, 2009 to May 1, 2010 (closing at 12 midnight CST). Suggested items include: artwork, jewelry, gift baskets, weekend-getaway packages, housewares, gardening items, sporting tickets or equipment, etc. Consider donating anything appropriate with a $250 or more value. Items may be added to the donation to  make one terrific package. Your donation will be graciously displayed and acknowledged. See our beautiful array of auction items at www.biddingforgood.com/christinecenter.

Brick by Brick, Dollar by Dollar

Commemorative bricks will be prominently installed around the Chapel Wing. Your name, your company or the name of a loved one — will be a tender recognition of your commitment to the mission of the Christine Center. Order Below using the  Commemorative Brick Order Form, or call 715-267-7507 for more information.
