Interfaith Retreat
The Center’s Fourth Annual Interfaith Retreat was held July 13-15, 2012.
It was entitled — Ancestral Wisdom: Ancestral Roots: Encountering the Indigenous Traditions of the Americas.
Two Anglo-Americans in their experience of the indigenous traditions – found their own faith and spiritual practice challenged, deepened and transformed.
Fred Gustafson, D. Min., Diplomate Jungian analyst, spoke of being with the Lakota Nation of North America.
Cecilia Corcoran, Ph.D., Franciscan retreat guide, spoke of her experience with the Nahua people of Central America.
The program was hosted by Jean Feraca of Wisconsin Public Radio’s Here On Earth.

This retreat weekend invited all to remember their own unique ancestral wisdom and ancestral roots. Many of us experience life in a culture that disconnects us from the reverence, balance and harmony of Nature’s wisdom. The human capacity to relate to the archetypal and to the sacred is our way of re-connecting.
Our presenters engaged us with story, personal reflection and an opportunity to participate in ceremony to strengthen our own faith and soul connection to the sacred — where all is one.
