Recreational Opportunities
It was the beautiful Umbrian valley that inspired much of the natural mysticism of St. Francis of Assisi. Here at the Christine Center come be inspired by the beauty of the woodlands, refreshing well-water and Wisconsin skies.

The Christine Center is located within easy access to a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals and families. On The Center grounds there are two miles of marked trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and snowshoeing and a pond for ice-skating.

The nearby country roads are great for biking. Within a 10 to 20 minute drive are beautiful lakes and rivers for canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. The lakes have clean sandy beaches for swimming and family outings. Canoes and boats are available for rent at a nearby motor-free lake.

Bruce Mound winter sports area for snow tubing, skiing and snow boarding is a 40 minute drive. Horseback riding, wagon and sleigh rides can be enjoyed at a nearby ranch.
