At the heart of the Work Exchange program is the opportunity to contribute to the mission of the Center as well as partake of the spiritual nourishment which is part of the daily routine. The selfless service to the guests and community involves doing whatever is needed -- such as maintenance work, kitchen duties, gardening, or office work -- in exchange for meals and lodging. The daily meditation schedule, solitude, beauty of the forest setting, retreats and spiritual direction supports the inner growth and well-being of the individual.

The program combines a work week of 35 hours with the opportunity to enjoy a relationship with the Christine Center's land and community. Housing is usually in a private rustic hermitage. We welcome you to join the program and experience the benefits of living at the Christine Center.
